Almvik farm community is looking for a somewhat senior mataji to serve as bhaktin leader and temple assistant.
The help needed:
-Guide and educate young bhaktins
– Help organize their services
– Help with other services needed in the temple and around the temple. Services may include assisting in kitchen, cooking, cleaning, sankirtan, gardening, attending harinama, garland making e tc. These services may be to a some extent adjusted according to the inclinations and experience of the individual. The main service is as a bhaktin leader.
We offer:
– An opportunity to stay in our beautiful farm community situated 50 km outside Stockholm. Our village consists of about 70 devotees. We have a goshalla, nice Sunday feasts, festival celebrations, morning and evening programs in our temple where the deities of Sri-Sri Panca-tattva are residing, the association of many nice devotees. Almvik is near the forest, fresh air and a big lake.
– Free lodging, basic necessities and prasadam.
Applicants should:
– Be able to guide and inspire young bhaktins and to organize their services (with some assistance from other leaders).
– Have been a member of ISKCON for at least 5 years.
– Follow the 4 regulative principles and chant 16 rounds.
-Must attend the temple programs.
– Be able to communicate in English.
– Be able to offer recommendations from your local temple authorities.
-Be able to come for at least 3 months, and if things work out nicely, possibly much longer.
The service will be needed from June, but it would be good if you come earlier than that.
