
A senior member of Mayapur passed away.
Senior resident brahmacari of Mayapur & a disciple of HH Jayapataka Swami, HG Narottam Das Brahmacari passed away on the auspicious Papamochani Ekadasi day (13th March) at Mayapur. He joined ISKCON Mayapur in the year 1978. After 2 months of training in the New Bhakta department, he went to Kolkata Ratha yatra. From there, he went to Chennai by traveling sankirtan party, distributing books for 5 years. The next 5 years, he spent distributing books in Orissa. In 1986, on the year of Lord Caitanya’s 500 anniversary, he came back to Mayapur. He continued Sankirtan, Book distribution for 15 years. In 1993, he served as Radha –Madhava’s pujari for 2 years. 1995, when Srila Pushpa Samadhi Mandir opened, he joined as one of the main pujaris at Pushpa Samadhi Mandir. In this way, he was engaged in the service of Srila Prabhupada’s mission in Mayapur for the last 40 years. He was extremely determined and very dutiful servant of the Lord.
Cremation took place on Dwadasi day, 14th March at Ganga ghat, attended by Mayapur devotees.
