Bhaktin DovilÄ—: Yashodamayi d.d. (Ieva ZasimauskaitÄ—) won a selection competition to represent Lithuania in an international Eurovision Song Contest. The international contest will take place on the 8-12th of May in Lisbon. We invite the European devotees to support her and help spread Krishna Consciousness in this way.
Yashodamayi is part of the core circle of devotees in Kaunas temple. She was encouraged to win the competition by her spiritual master HG Sankarshan das Adhikari, who instructed her that Krishna Consciousness should be spread in all possible ways.
Even though in the beginning some devotees were sceptical about devotee attending a materialistic song competition, it turned out to be a great preaching endeavor. Yashodamayi d.d. did a great job preaching Krishna Consiousness, mentioning in many interviews her lifestyle and talking about mantra meditation.
Even more, in a prime time television interview she was asked, if she was following Hare Krishna philosophy and she joyfully admitted that, saying that people often ask her what is the secret of her positivity. She said that the secret is that she is having association with Hare Krishna people.

The song that Yashodamayi d.d. selected talks about love and is a great contrast in context of all the other participats of the competition, who try to please the audience with songs about sense gratification. The jury also appreciated her sincerity, positivity and a very special energy that she was sharing with others.
We encourage all the devotees in Europe to vote for Yashomayi d.d. in the Eurovision song competion on the 8-12th of May. Let us cooperate and help Yashodamayi preach Krishna Consciousness in wider circles by her exemplary personality, behavior and the message of Krishna Consciousness that she is spreading.
