Heart Of Yoga

Premkishor Das (Dr. Prashant Jani): The Heart of Yoga is an extraordinary 3-day retreat presented by empowered spiritual guides and yoga teachers, coming for the first time to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada to help you take your yoga to the next level.

The three day Yoga retreat will include Asanas, Breath work, Mantra Meditation(Japa Yoga ),Sacred Music and movements, Spiritual discovery & discussion and Gourmet Vegetarian Cuisine. The works shops will be conducted by Gopi Sandal, Mahatma and Divya Alter. Gopi Sandal is an essence-seeking yogini who has always sought out ways to uncover the natural joy and experience of the Divine within her heart and make those ways accessible to others. Gopi has been practicing yoga for over 30 years, and has been a certified teacher for 19 years. She studied the technique of B. K. S. lyengar with his senior students as well as a variety of other styles such as Astanga, Vinyasa and Kundalini, which she incorporates into her classes. Gopi has spent the last 30 years studying the philosophy and practice of Bhakti Yoga, 10 of which she spent in ashrams in the UK and India in deep meditation and service. Gopi lives in an intentional community in Kansas where she offers classes, workshops and retreats as well as energy healing and massage. Mahatma has been practicing and teaching Bhakti Yoga for over 38 years. Born in LA, he studied philosophy and music at UC Berkeley and has taught classes in over 15 countries. Mahatma is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician and has produced five meditation CDs combining powerful transcendental mantras with contemporary meditative music that he performs live all over the world. Divya Alter is a truly inspiring spiritual teacher with over 18 years of experience studying and teaching Indian spiritual philosophy, yoga, sacred singing and Sanskrit throughout Europe, India and the US. Originally from Bulgaria, she studied and taught Sanskrit in Sweden and India, and has assisted in the translation of many ancient texts. She also completed traditional Indian vocal training while living in India, and her singing is imbued with unique healing properties. She is a co-founder of Life Learning Continuum, a non-profit educational organization based in Washington, D. C., through which she shares her deep knowledge and realizations around the world. “The Heart of Yoga” retreat in Thunder Bay will be on 5th, 6th and 7th September, 2008 at Wilderness Discovery Family Resort and Conference Center, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Cost is $ 345 only per person, which includes attendance and material, accommodations, Gourmet Vegetarian meals and refreshments.
