The season of Padayatras is approaching very soon. Traditionally, Padayatras were organized with Deity cart pulled by oxens or horses with Harinam party accompanying it. There are many Padayatras like this organized all around the world, including UK (20-25th of August), India, Chech Republic.
However, there is another popular type of Padayatra, where devotees travel to different cities by bus and organize Rathayatras or Harinams with Deities on palanquins in well populated areas. Such Padayatras are organized in Australia, Russia, Lithuania (25th of June â 1st of July), Scandinavia (4-17th of July).
We especially invite you to a Padayatra Festival in Lithuania. HH Bhakti Caitanya Swami, HH Bhakti Sharan Shanta Goswami, HH Ananda Vardhana Swami (the leader of âHarinam Mandir travelling templeâ), HG Vyasaki prabhu and HG Madhavananda Prabhu will be attending the Padayatra. It will take place on the 25th of June â 1st of July.
âPadayatra Lithuania 2018â will visit 7-8 different cities in Lithuania. Every year around 50 devotees travel by bus and attend the whole festival. Many more devotees join Rathayatras and Harinams in different cities. The living conditions are perfect and everything is arranged so that even families with children could participate in the whole tour.
