Kulasekhara das : After being told by Srila Prabhupada to write songs in the English language, I have finally released my first CD on iTunes at age 57: Kula – “You Are Love”. Knowing I was totally unfit for the task, it took me 34 years to master all the skills and do everything myself, except play guitar on one track.
All the writing, singing, (plus a back-up vocalist on one track), engineering and musical arrangements were created by me using digital sampling and midi. I created this so that there was some philosophically correct music for devotees and aspiring devotees to enjoy. Money was never a consideration, It was a labor of love directly for Srila Prabhupada.
The two political tracks in the middle are to break up the philosophical mood for the materialists… forgive me for not doing better and for taking so long – I am a slow learner with little talent!
