Welcome to Mayapur Gaura Purnima Festival 2009!
I am happy to inform that the historical festival in Mayapur will be again! On 25th Feb 2009, the worldwide Vaisanva community will be gathering at Mayapur to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Sri Panca Tattva Installation in Mayapur. A Maha Abhiseka will be performed to big deities of Sri Panca Tattva. This is a special occasion as Maha Abhiseka will be performed only once in five years.
Gaura Purnima 2009 being a special festival, we expect large number of devotees to visit Sri Mayapur for the festival. Extensive arrangements and preparations are underway to host a grand Gaura Purnima Festival 2009 in Mayapur. As with the previous years, there are no festival fees and free prasada will be served to all the devotees during the festival. This is possible by the continued support from various temples, congregations and devotees sponsoring for the Prasada seva and various festival sevas.
This year we have lot of service opportunities that you could perform for Sri Mahaprabhu and His associates on the Maha Abhiseka day.
We request all the devotees to reserve your sevas for Maha Abhiseka at the earliest as this is a rare and limited opportunity.
Special Feast on this day and Mukhya Yajaman for Maha Abhiseka has already been reserved.
