Ahmedabad city mayor attends Govardhan Puja.
This year ISKCON Ahmedabad celebrated Govardhan Puja in a very splendid way. Thousands of visitors took blessings of Sri Sri Radha Govindji and Giri Govardhan on New Year day. Ahmedabad city mayor Srimati Bijalben Patel also took blessings on this eve. She performed Aarti and had darshan of Giri Govardhan, she was very amazed to see the Giriraj Govardhan prepared by devotees. And then she went on to see New Govinda’s restaurant. She told “ISKCON is only organization around the globe which provides such sattvika food.” And gave her consent to take a meal at Govinda’s with her family. The Giriraj Govardhan was made up of 1008 kg of halva and different types of dry fruits, fruits, and sweets in main temple hall.
