ISKCON Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hosted the CDM 4 day strategic planning meet between 19th and 22nd of March, 2009. The team discussed apart from the regular business the short and long term goals of the Ministry.
Apart from the existing vision team comprising of HG Kaunteya das (Italy), HG Seva Svarupa das (Argentina), HG Sarva Shakti dd (Ecuador) and Amrta Gaurangi dd (Croatia), few more dedicated devotees joined the ranks of the Ministry.
HG Caitanya Avatari das from Bangalore, an experienced Bhakti Vrksa preacher and a devotee with a deep caring attitude towards the community; HG Visnu Caitanya das, a congregational leader from Kuala Lumpur, and creator of Damodara preaching program (a new out-reach tool used during Damodara month to introduce the general public to the benefits of this auspicious month as well as attract them to the practice of Krishna consciousness) and HG Uttama Caitanya das, Kuala Lumpur temple president, spiritual counselor and an avid strategist of congregational development in Malaysia.
One of most important topics discussed during the meetings, was to develop a plan on how to provide support and take care of devotees in different parts of the world where there are vaishnava communities. A number of new projects have been lined-up for this year, like developing Sraddha Kutir Program, publishing new books on community development, training and broadcasting.
Congregational Development Ministry hopes to serve the worldwide community of ISKCON devotees through consultancy, education and networking in the aspects of community development.
We would also like to invite interested devotees to come forward and get involved in many exciting projects under the banner of the Congregational Development Ministry, ISKCON.
