Considering that Albert Einstein is widely recognized as one of the greatest brains of our time, it is a bold and motivating statement, particularly considering that a person may jump to mention that he was a scientist. However, we can clearly see that God consciousness and science need not oppose each other. As a matter of fact, they can be in perfect harmony.
During the course, exactly this mood was created by an expert scholar and our resident monk, HG Dayal Mora dasa. A group of people from all walks of life came together for five successive weekends to discuss: How to apply the timeless wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita in modern day life. The attendees were all new to the philosophy and lifestyle of Krishna-consciousness, while some came to the ISKCON-London Temple for the first time just to attend this course.
Each session was focused on traditional question and answer formula, as exemplified in the Bhagavad Gita itself between Krishna and Arjuna. The teacher read the verses followed by Srila Prabhupada’s flawless purports and students presented all of their doubts and misgivings, only to be enlightened by the Absolute Truth from every page. No one left disappointed and just to completely satisfy the experience, everyone shared sumptuous Prasadam (sanctified food) at the end of each session.
Student feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, they all felt considerably inspired by the lessons from the Bhagavad Gita and we have had a landslide of requests for a follow-up course and continuation. Watch this space!
