2019 International Vaisnavi Retreat – VIHE (Album with photos)
This year’s International Vaisnavi Retreat, held between Mar 28 and April 2, was wonderful. Over 110 vaishnavis attended this extraordinary sadhvi sanga in the land of Vrindavana, under the shelter of Govardhana.
The theme for this year was “Sevonmukhe hi jihvādau” – “Devotional service begins with the tongue”.
Highlights of the retreat were various seminars on cooking and honoring prasadam, seva principles in kirtana, lunch in the forest of Vraja and how to offer bhoga to the Lord. There were two sessions with daughters of Srila Prabhupada, of which one was held in the Govardhana forest. At each session, there were 6-7 disciples of Srila Prabhupada sharing their experiences with Srila Prabhupada.
Additionally, there were workshops on cooking and turban making, mrdanga and kartalas lessons, 108 bhoga offerings to Srila Rupa Goswami at Ter Kadamba, akhanda kirtana at Ter Kadamba, harinaam to the Govardhana forest and bathing at Surabhi Kunda.
