
In celebration of holy name week, ISKCON Leicester is hosting Kirtan Fest, a weekend of mantra, music, and meditation on 21-22 September 2019.
Devotees from all over the UK will participate in the festival at the Centre at 31 Granby Street, Leicester, 10am-late each day.
Kirtan leaders from around Europe will be attending this year’s Kirtan Fest, including Sri Prahlad Das, Caitanya Cintamani Dasi, Ramanaji Das, Ananda Monet, Radhika Ranjana Das and many others.
A maha street harinama will also take place on the Saturday night.
This year’s Kirtan Fest takes place during Heritage Open Days, England’s biggest free heritage festival. This invites the public to come and enjoy the magnificent and historic ISKCON Centre on Granby Street also participate and enjoy the spiritual nature of the building and its community.
“This year our message to devotees is to come, sit and chant before Radha Madhava with gratitude to Srila Prabhupada for coming to the UK 50 years ago with the gift of the holy name,” says Temple President Pradyumna Das. We are fortunate to be in this beautiful City Centre Temple. People hear the transcendental sounds and literally walk in off the street to spend the day chanting and dancing. Lunch and dinner will be served on both days.
