Iskcon Tirupati (Album of photos)
Aniruddha Dāsa: Every morning after maṅgala ārati, Devakinandan Prabhu and I have walked in the Divyaramam National Park. It’s about 10 minutes walk from our temple. This is a beautiful location. Just around the corner is the Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, of Lord Siva, which was visited by Srī Caitanya Mahāprabhu before he visited Balaji on His tour of South India. Balaji is situated on top of the Tirumala Hills you see in the background. The land on which the ISKCON Temple resides was donated by the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam, the organization that manages the Balaji Temple. We’ll visit Balaji later this week. We are going to check out the Kapileswara Temple tomorrow with an eye to taking bath in the falls that pour down there at the base of the hill. These temples don’t allow cameras, unfortunately. You’ll also see the bullocks making peanut paste at the rear of our temple. Visitors love to see the bulls at work.
