I would like to invite and encourage all ISKCON Leaders to promote the observance of festivals to commemorate Lord Caitanya’s 500th Anniversary of Sannyasa.
The theme of our festival is:
” Celebrating the 500th Sannyasa Anniversary of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu”.

Celebrations are to be conducted from now till Gaura Purnima (28th Feb 2010)
MAIN FESTIVITIES:
14th Jan (Thursday) – 19th Jan (Tuesday) 2010
14th Jan was the eclipse, at which time Mahaprabhu entered into the mood of renunciation.
18th Jan (Monday) is the date of the sannyasa initiation.

Begins 14/15th Jan 2010, Ends 02/04th Feb 2010.

We would especially like to encourage festivals to be held at the towns and
cities Caitanya Mahaprabhu personally travelled to.
