On Saturday it was time for one of the best celebrations of the year: The Vaisnava Appreciation Festival!
Many of us had been looking forward to this glorious occasion – and no one of the more than 40 guests went home disappointed!
What does Sri Krishna like the most? Krishna likes it very much when His devotees are praised. Because the devotees are His family and are very dear to His heart. Naturally, the devotees are attracted to Krishna – and because of their love, Krishna is attracted to them as well. Such spiritual love is a true win-win for everyone.
After a peaceful morning program many enthusiastic helpers helped with the flower decorations and assisted the cooks in preparing a simply wonderful love feast for Jagannatha and the whole community.
Then the day continued with a great round of kirtan and finally; the exchange of devotee appreciation in the form of heartfelt well-wishes, beautiful presents and many hugs and smiles.
The evening arati worship and the honoring of prasadam, however, were not the last highlights of the day: Many decided to stay longer for more sadhu sanga, more delightful conversations and helping in cleaning the temple after the great festival…
And with another final (mini) kirtan the last fantastic Saturday feast of 2019 ended with happy devotees, a very happy Jagannatha and much to look forward to in the next year of our super Berlin temple.
