In the purport of verse 10 of the Light of the Bhagavata, Srila Prabhupada speaks, “When devotees are dressed with saffron-colored cloth, with tilaka on their foreheads and beads in their hands an on their necks, they look exactly as if they come directly from Vaikuntha.” So this dress is not an Indian dress. It is the dress from Vaikuntha according to Srila Prabhupada.
