Disappearance day of HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami

The disappearance day of HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami.

Especially in GBC meetings, I miss him very much. There is so much to say about his glories that I don’t know where to start. I was fortunate to have worked with him. I have noted, that as predicted, he is worked through his disciples now. He was always kind to me and tried to encourage me..

I last was with him about one month before his departure. His smile was bigger and brighter than ever and when I first saw him I thought that he was fine. He was effulgent with love. He laughed and said that there were two things to which he was especially attached, dancing and traveling, and in one doctor visit Krsna took that away.

His dancing cannot be described in words, that must be seen. He lit up the room.

He was expertly engaging many devotees. I said that I thought he could recover, he did not want that.

Just before leaving for Africa, I asked if he had any last message for the devotees there. At the time I had no recording device. Later I asked him to repeat but he said they would have to trust me

He said:
1. don’t quarrel amongst yourselves.
2. Preserve what you have. ( I took to so mean the devotees
first, since so many have drifted away. )
3.. Worship the Deities nicely. He said we had a lot of trouble
due to Deity aparadha.
4.. Distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books.

When he spoke that he had survived a very difficult night.

A few things I note:
He was WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). There was no pretense, he really loved everyone.
His books are wonderful. He was able to deal with psychological problems in a purely spiritual manner.

He was a fearless preacher, “in your face” as some say.

He was the most photogenic person I have seen. Every photo shows his love for all.

Proof of his spiritual vision is that he treated me with respect, in spite of my junior status.

He loved Srila Prabhupada unconditionally.

Please read his books.
