Please accept my most humble obeisances! All Glories to Srila Prabhupada! All Glories to Sri Guru & Sri Gauranga! All Glories to Sri Krishna Janmastami!
First time in our small ISKCON Preaching Centre at Najafgarh, New Delhi (India) we celebrated Sri Krishna Janmastami Mahotsava on 02nd September,2010. Here I would like to share some of the highlights with some photographs with all of you.
Devotees from Chawla & Najafgarh very nicely decorated the Hall & Alter. Programme started at 7 PM with HariNaam Sankirtan. Then at 8.30 PM HG Sachipati Prabhu narrated wonderful pastimes on appearance of the Lord with reason, understandings, & philosophy. The Class went till 10 PM. Then again Kirtan starts & we offered 56 + Bhogas to Their Lorships. Then at around 11.30 PM there were Maha Abhishekam of Laddu Gopals where many devotees got the opportunities to bathe the Lord. Although it was not so elaborate still all the assembled devotees liked it very much as many of them participated/ saw such abhishekam first time in their lives. We did abhishekam with Milk, Yogurt, Ghee, Honey, Various Fruit Juices, Various Holy Waters etc. Then at around 12.30 AM there was Aarati & after that we served anukalpa Prasadam to all the assembled devotees.
I would like to thank all the devotees for their tireless efforts to celebrate this most auspicious occasion, to mention a few names Bh Shyam Prabhu , Bh Kaku Prabhu, Bh Yogi Prabhu, Bh Krishna Prabhu, Bh Gopal Prabhu and others. My special thanks to Bh Babloo Prabhu for sponsoring prasadam for all. Also I express heartfelt gratitude to the Matajis who cooked various items for Chhappan Bhogas.
We hope by the blessings of all of you devotees we would be able to celebrate this event next year in larger scale to attract more & more people towards the mission of Srila Prabhupada!
