Presentation:
Whereas, Harinam Sankirtan is the yuga dharma and a core practice of all ISKCON devotees.
Whereas, other important ISKCON practices are supported by ministries including:
Book Distribution Ministry
Ministry of Cow Protection and Agriculture
Deity Worship Ministry
Whereas, a Harinam Sankirtan Ministry would be of benefit to the society through contributions including, but not limited to:
Education and training
Establishing standards
Production of publications
Website
Improved Coordination of ISKCON’s Annual World Holy Name Festival
Whereas, the GBC Standing Committee, World Holy Name Committee, has been effectively functioning since 2007, to celebrate World Holy Name Festival, and is willing to expand its mandate to function as a Ministry.
Whereas, the World Holy Name Committee desires to add additional members to facilitate functioning as a ministry.
Whereas, it is in the interest of good management practices that each member of the Ministry have a service description.
Therefore, it is resolved that [Administrative Order], the World Holy Name Committee is hereby reconstituted as the ISKCON Harinam Sankirtan Ministry.
The Ministry may be expanded to add additional members. The service description of the individual members will be decided by the Ministry.
The Minister shall be His Holiness Lokanath Swami.
