About Vishwarup Das
Dr Vivekanand Shanbhag
He is a Brahmin Initiated Disciple of His Holiness Radhanath Swami.
He completed his MBBS (Mumbai University) in 1985 from Grant Medical College, J J Hospital and pursued a Fellowship in Palliative Care and Hospice Administration from San Diego Hospice, San Diego, California, USA in 2007.
He also did his Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counseling in 2009.
He holds several positions:—-
1)Trustee of Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust , which runs 13 hospitals .
2) Currently serving as Deputy Director of Bhaktivedanta Group of Hospitals & Research Institute
3) Head of Department of Spiritual Care Training &Education. The Trust runs 3 Hospitals in Mira Road, 2 in Mathura UP, 8 in Villages of Thane Dist.
4) Pioneer in creating a syllabus of “Spiritual Care in Nursing”.
Chief Faculty of Bhaktivedanta Institute of Nursing Education in Subject of “Spiritual Care in Nursing”.
5) Pioneer of Bhaktivedanta Hospital’s Eye Services in Barsana, Mathura,
UP State and the Barsana Eye & Dental Camp for last 28 yrs. We do 4000 FREE eye surgeries per year in Barsana.
Senior Spiritual Counselor of Radha Gopinath Bhakt Samaj from 1989.
Spiritual Counselor for Consultant Doctors and Senior Nurses of Bhaktivedanta Hospital.
