Operations and Retreat Manager

Mandala Springs (www.mandala.org) is a beautiful 200 acre retreat center in Northern California, about 2 hours north of San Francisco. It is affiliated with Mandala Publishing, which has published books on Vedic and Vaishnava culture and teachings for over twenty years (www.mandalaearth.com). The board of directors for Mandala Springs are all senior initiated devotees in our Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.

We are looking for an onsite Operations/Retreat Manager to oversee our hospitality services, which includes caring for persons or families who stay in our facilities for a few days, as well as retreats, workshops, seminars and festivals.

We are looking for a devotee or devotee couple to live on or near the property who have some professional experience in the world, as most of the visitors and retreatants are not devotees. We do, of course, also have devotee festivals, and celebrations of our tradition’s holy days.

The best resume will include some professional experience, preferably in the hospitality field, with administrative skills, a mature, personable nature, problem solving skills, and the ability to host and help all kinds of people.

The devotee or devotee couple should be established in their personal devotional practices, and we will look for them to maintain a nice, devotional mood and leadership to our staff, while being very open minded and accommodating to our diverse guests.

KEY TRAITS of an Operations/Retreat Manager

● Organized, efficient, resourceful, results-driven, and self-starting

● Personable, professional, and excellent at customer service

● Proven leadership abilities and communication skills

● Passionate about holistic and spiritual education, diversity, and inclusivity

● Proficient in several digital systems, such as Zoom, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, ConstantContact, Mailchimp, Weebly, MindBody Online, and Retreat Guru
