Mayapur Academy under the auspices of ISKCON Deity Worship Ministry humbly presents THE GAYATRI COURSE I for the devotee community of ISKCON.
The Course offers a program designed to help improve the quality of brahmanas within ISKCON in order to promote the long-term wellbeing of Srila Prabhupäda’s Society and its members.
The program is based on the teachings of Srila Prabhupäda and his followers, and gives reference to the current ISKCON Law and writings from the broader Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition.
Subjects include (but not limited to) the origins and history of gayatri mantras imparted to members of ISKCON and acquaints devotees regarding the current procedures of Gayatri initiations in ISKCON.
The students shall have a clear understanding of the purpose and mood of Srila Prabhupada in instituting Gayatri for members of ISKCON. It shall also aid the students to improve their chanting of gayatri japa and develop healthy sadhana habits.
Additionally, it aims to help enhance the student’s desire to study and research about gayatri from the instructions of Srila Prabhupäda and the broader Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition.
Though designed for gayatri initiation aspirants, second initiated practitioners, leaders and preachers shall also find it useful.
We heartily pay our gratitude to HG Atul Krishna prabhu(BoEx Chairman) for providing us all the encouragement and support in designing the course. HG Nrsimha Kavaca prabhu(Minister, IDWM) finds special mention for giving us valuable inputs besides patronizing the course.
We hope that this enthuse (pracodayat) students to effectively perpetuate this knowledge within ISKCON in particular and to the general mass of people by establishing its relevance to personal, social, moral and spiritual development.
