We went to apartments door to door distributing Sri Caitanya Caritamrita sets in the Bay area. We saw one middle aged lady at one apartment, we greeted her by saying “Hare Krishna” and she replied with “Hare Krishna.” She studied in Varanasi and said when she was studying she used to follow Srila Prabhupada and the Hare Krishna movement. After college, however, she left chanting and she told us once in while she would have nice dreams about Srila Prabhupada.
In her words, *” I left Guru but Guru **didn’t** leave me.”* We told her, “Srila Prabhupada has now came to you in the form of his books, today we have Sri Caitanya Caritamrita.”With tears in her eyes very happily took a CC set and gave us a nice donation.
We just need be there knocking on the doors, the rest is taken care of by Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada.
