Established in 1972, Bhaktivedanta Book Trust or BBT is the world’s biggest publisher of ancient and reputable vaisnava texts, Bhakti yoga, theology and culture. This year BBT is observing its 50th anniversary. This book trust was founded by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. BBT’s publications include original Vaishnava texts, such as Srimad Bhagavad-Gita as it is, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Brahma-Samhita, Ishopanishad, Bhakti Rasamritsindhu, Upadeshmrita, and other devotional texts, which have been translated into 87 major languages of the world. Recently BBT has published Gita in Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and other languages. The distribution of books published by BBT is also done very widely and according to estimates, more than fifty crore Bhagavad-Gita and other books have been delivered to people from door to door. Through Hare Krishna Television too, we’re making the same appeal to the general public to get Srila Prabhupada’s Gita and other books published by BBT and to read them.
