Simantini Temple in Mayapur Nears Completion

The beautiful deity of Lord Chaitanya along with the deity of Simantini, Goddess of Simantadvipa, have arrived and are waiting to move into Their new temple behind the existing Jagannath Temple in Rajapur. The temple structure is complete and inside the finishing work is underway. The external cladding in terracotta has resumed after pausing for the rainy season. The installation is planned to take place during the Gaur Purnima celebrations in 2012. This is the last opportunity to donate for this unique temple. Donors of more than Rs. 50,000 will have a terracotta plaque with their name inscribed on it fixed to the base wall. To see more updated photos, visit the Simantini project web album: http://picasaweb. google. com/simantinidevi And to read about the history behind this project and instructions for sending donations, visit: http://mayapur.com/node/1355
