On the 14 June 2015, His Holiness Kavicandra Maharaja offered sannyasa to Carudesn Prabhu. His sannyasa name is His Holiness Bhakti Carudesna Swami.
In 1987, Bhakti Carudesna Swami was a college student when he met a Sankirtan devotee who sold him Srila Prabhupada’s *Science of Self-realization*. That same year, a few months later, he joined the temple and became highly inspired to support Srila Prabhupada’s mission and preach in his country, Ivory Coast. In 1989, Carudesna, in 1989, received first initiation from His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Maharaja, and second initiation in 1995. That same year he took up the service as Temple President for Ivory Coast.
In 2002 Carudesna went to Mayapura where he followed the Bhakti-sastri course and Vrindavana for the ISKCON Leadership and Management course.
Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire) is a French speaking country. As such, when His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Maharaja was visiting then Carudesna used to translate for Maharaja during television, radio programmes and conferences. He also translated for His Holiness Kavicandra Maharaja and His Holiness Bhakti Dhira Damodara Maharaja, when they visited Ivory Coast.
