We all know that book distribution was the main activity that Prabhupad always focused on. It is breathtaking how in eleven years, Prabhupad preached all over the world. How was it possible? It was possible because he translated several authorized books like Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya Caritamrta, Sri Bhagavad Gita As it is, etc. He requested them to be distributed in public places. Through these books, Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s message was preached everywhere.
Prabhupad has taught us that preaching means book distribution. It has a long-lasting effect.
With this in mind, we are trying to place Srila Prabhupad’s books in each of the 81 Chicago Public Libraries. We want your support in this effort. There is an online book request form on the Chicago Public Library‘s website, that we can fill out to request a book for the libraries. We have created the list of Srila Prabhupad books with their ISBNs which will be required to fill out this online request form. We request every devotee to fill out this form for each listed book. Once the requests for books reach a significant amount, the Chicago Public Library buys that book. We aspire to have all the books of Srila Prabhupad in each of the 81 Chicago Public Library.

Great initiative!!! In fact, every city which participates in such book request should have as many devotees possible to fill out the form. My only suggestion is to try to make the process easier. I went to the book request form and it took me about 3 minutes to do a particular book. Happy to do so but a mainstream process, if any, would be more conducive. Nevertheless, lets hope they get enough interest in any or all of Srila Prabhupada's books to order. Otherwise, donate them.
