On the auspicious occasion of Srila Madhvendra Puri’s Disappareance, March 5th, 2012, ISKCON Vrindavan unveiled the ‘Bhaktivedanta Book Trust House’ located between the Sri Sri Krishna Balarama Temple and Srila Prabhupada’s House. The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) is the world’s largest publisher of literature on Krishna consciousness and Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy. BBT was established in 1972 by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The BBT House displays the books published by BBT in more than 55 international languages.

The inauguration of BBT House was performed in the morning after darshan arati of Their Lordships Sri Krishna Balaram and Srila Prabhupada’s Guru-puja. A procession with Srila Prabhupada’s deity and hundreds of vaisnavas dancing in ecstasy approached the BBT House for the event. Many senior devotees and Srila Prabhupada’s disciples attended the programme including Sri Manu Prabhu, Dinabandhu Prabhu, Bhubaneswar Prabhu, Panca Gauda Prabhu, Hunkar Prabhu, Jaya Sila Prabhu, Dadhibhaska Prabhu, Daivishakti mataji and many others.

His Grace Saranga Thakur Prabhu , Head of Vrindavan BBT Department, explains that Srila Prabhupada’s most significant contribution to this world is his books. BBT publications have won praise for their authority, depth and clarity from professors at colleges and universities worldwide like Harvard, Oxford, BHU, IIT, BITS, NIT, Cornell, Columbia, Syracuse, Oberlin, and Edinburgh. The BBT House will be the medium through which these books are displayed to millions of visitors who come to Sri Vrindavan dhama.
