As a Farmer for over 45 years i always listen very carefully to what is being presented within Iskcon.
One of the reasons why Cow Protection, Agriculture and Economy have not worked to their full potential is because they have not been placed into the correct format to work effectively and efficiently. Something i have presented since 1980's is that these three things have to be married up to Community so that the internal Economic model can be created and progress on to the future.
One other massive point that i thought was missing from this presentation was how we waste food globally to a high degree. So we dont really need to compare or even mimic what goes on in Agriculture globally as long as we adopt the model of waste not want not and eating locally. I believe globally we waste about 15-20% of Agricultural products. Even in a small Iskcon farm the concept of not wasting is not really rammed home to the members of Community.
But the ideal model for Cow Protection Agriculture is to combine Cow Protection with Community as if it is a marriage. Then the whole Economic problems of life can be solved. All too often on Iskcon farms it exists as if it were a separate entity over the hills and far away, and the internal iskcon economic model has no chance of existing, therefore limiting the whole Cow Protection expansion to be the whole basis of economy for devotees.. The consequences of this is being implicated in Capitalism and the Animal Slaughter Industry that is used to produce fertilizers for the Food Producing companies and especially for Organic Food, probably the most violent food on the planet.
