MARC GAUTHIER / MUKUNDA DAS
Over the last 28 years, I have had the great fortune to develop a wide array of both hard and soft skills. From planning, organizing, directing and realizing construction projects, to assisting individuals achieve a more fulfilling and balanced life through life coaching and leadership training.
I started in construction in 1988 while a full time resident of the Montreal Hare Krishna Temple. Construction has been my livelihood since 1989. Since then, I have been involved in a broad variety of construction projects: from completely rebuilding pre-American-Civil-War plantation homes, to contracting modern 3-story highly energy-efficient residences, to constructing a timber frame structure using almost exclusively non-electric tools, etc.
While living for 9 years in Prabhupada Village, Sandy Ridge, North Carolina, I obtained a State contractor’s license and built about a dozen homes, specializing in Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF’s), the medium we will use to build Srila Prabhupada’s vault. It is during that period that I have met and successfully completed many projects with Barry Moxley, from Moxley Construction, Inc., with whom I will partner on this vault project.
Today, I own a small volume, hands-on, high quality construction company specializing in low maintenance, energy-efficient construction. I work in the residential, institutional and light commercial markets.
In the last 2 years, I have developed an interest in natural building techniques, hoping to use a combination of some of such techniques in developing a devotional Eco-village project.
In the last 3 years, I have trained for, and completed 3 full marathons (26.2 miles or 42.2 KM), including, in 2011, the highly revered Boston marathon.
Some additional abilities I have developed over the years are a capacity to communicate clearly in high stress situations, being teamwork-oriented as well as adapting smoothly to changing conditions.
Compassionate yet authentic communication are my trademarks, I’m a personal development coach and an enthusiastic speaker. I love to assist people resolve conflicts and work together. I have recently embarked on a 2 year training on Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building.
I’m a Canadian citizen. I live in Florida with my wife, Bhakti-lata, my 2 daughters, Manjari & Ulupi, and their family.
