Hare Krishna! So, as you know, the month of Kartik has begun, and I consider myself very fortunate that I had the opportunity to meet Bhagwat Prabhuji again. Yesterday, he gave a special class at ISKCON Juhu in Mumbai, which you can listen to here.
Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
There is no greater mantra than this.
“Iti Shodashaka Naam Naam Kali Kalmaash Naashanam. Naatah Parataropayah Sarva Vedeshu Drishyate.”
This means, there is no greater mantra than this. In all the Vedas, it is said that in the age of Kali, the only way to attain the Lord is through chanting the holy names.
Hari Naam, Hari Naam, Hari Naam, Hari Naam, Hari Naam, Hari Naam Kevalam.
Kalau Naasteva Naasteva Naasteva Gatir Anyatha.
This means, in Kali Yuga, the only method to attain God is through the holy names. There is no other way, no other way, no other way.
So you may be wondering why I have come here. I have come to awaken you. You see, we did not receive this human body just to eat and sleep. We have been given this body for a special purpose.
Do you know what that special purpose is? The meaning of a special month like this is Dharma itself. Dharma is the key. If one does not follow Dharma, one is like an animal. It is said, “Dharmena Hina Pashubhih Samana,” meaning that if you have been given a human body, you must follow the path of Dharma. If we don’t walk the path of Dharma, we are like animals.
So wake up, rise, and understand the true goal of your life. Devote yourself to the service of God. Chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra:
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
All glory to the divine knowledge!
All glory to Sri Radha Gopinath Bhagwan!
All glory to Sri Radha Shyamsundar Bhagwan!
All glory to Sri Jagannath Baladeva Subhadra Maharani!
All glory to Vishnu Priya Mata!
All glory to Bhakti!
Bhakti enters food and turns it into prasad. When bhakti enters water, it becomes Charanamrit. And when bhakti enters one’s heart, the heart becomes pure and divine.
But today, we are all trapped in the cycle of material desires. The mind is your enemy; acknowledge this. Don’t remain a puppet to your mind’s whims. Uplift yourself, cross the ocean of material existence. Today, we are in a situation like Arjuna’s, lost in the darkness of ignorance, with our consciousness asleep.
The people of this world are drowning in ignorance, their consciousness asleep, unaware of their true spiritual nature.
