Temple Ladies Represent Vedic Culture On Women’s Day at ISKCON Juhu

On the occasion of Women’s Day on 8 March 2013, the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai and all ranks invited ladies from ISKCON Mumbai to participate in an awareness program to enhance the safety of women in Mumbai as representatives of Vedic culture.

More than twenty lady devotees from ISKCON Juhu dressed in shades of blue with their face marked with Vaishnava tilak represented ISKCON at the program which was held at the landmark Gateway of India, Mumbai and saw several dignitaries including Chief Minister of Maharastra, Chief Justice of Bombay High Court, Home Minister of the State, Smt. Hema Malini, Ms Flavia Agnis, Lawyer & Activist and many more. Parijata Devi Dasi, ISKCON Communications, met with Dr. Satyapal Singh, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai and presented him with box of prasada for his Police team and family. She congratulated him on taking the initiative to fight crime against women in city of Mumbai.
