Astronomy of the Bhagavat Purana – The Vedic / Hindu world view ( 3 videos)
Radha Mohan das: My explanations are based on the works of Sadaputa das (Dr Richard Thomson), and also, references from the research of Danavir Goswami.
The purpose of my presentation is to glorify the Srimad Bhagavatam: presenting the 5th Canto, chapters 16-26, in an accessible way that can be appreciated by those devoted to the Puranas as well as those familiar with modern astronomy.
It is also in tribute to the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, the huge ISKCON project under construction in Mayapur, West Bengal.

You say the ganges water gets transported by air planes. This is not so.
See 5.17.4 The Descent of the River Ganges
Commentary by Åridhara SvÄmi Then descending through the heavenly (aerial) route, bustling with the traffic of many hundreds and thousands of aircraft, drenching the moon’s disc, the river falls onto the abode of BrahmÄ atop Mount Meru. The traffic of planes (denoting the path of performers of rituals) is below the station of the seven sages as indicated by describing the bustle after them.
Commentary by Åri Giridhara LÄla The traffic jam of planes of those performing rituals and reaching their destination is below those of the seven sages.
Thus the text : After purifying the seven planets near Dhruvaloka [the polestar], the Ganges water is carried through the spaceways of the demigods in billions of celestial airplanes. Then it inundates the moon [Candraloka] and finally reaches Lord BrahmÄ’s abode atop Mount Meru.
Should be: After purifying the seven planets near Dhruvaloka [the polestar], the Ganges water is carried through the spaceways of the demigods WHICH HAS billions of THEIR celestial airplanes. Then it inundates the moon [Candraloka] and finally reaches Lord BrahmÄ’s abode atop Mount Meru.
