Nice to hear from you. I’m not sure what’s happening with regards to Middle East preaching nowadays. Perhaps someone reading this who knows might be able to inform us accordingly. I do know that there are programs being held in the oil-rich Arab states among the Indian communities there, but as far as preaching to the locals, I don’t know. As you can imagine, it’s not so easy.
We were very fortunate back in the day when we journeyed to the Middle East. It almost seemed like they were waiting for us there. When we arrived in Cairo for the first time in 1978, we immediately noticed there were Indian posters of baby Krishna and Balarama being sold on almost every street corner. The Egyptians love children and it appeared as if some Indian entrepreneur had imported those prints to sell to the locals, even though I doubt they knew they were buying pictures of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, and His older brother, Sri Balarama. It was an auspicious start to our program there.
Anyway, I hope that you find this humble article somewhat inspiring to your own preaching endeavors. Thank you very much for your comment. (Special thanks to Dandavats.com for honoring Tribhuvanatha Prabhu so nicely. It’s an honor well-deserved.)
And what’s happening now? It would be nice to know.
