On the Auspicious Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimhadeva (Tuesday 1 May 2007), whilst the Pujaris were dressing the real and beautiful Ugra-Nrsimha Deity in Mayapur, parents also dressed their children to engage them fully in the festive activities.
In the attached picture we can see Narada Muni dasa (7 years) dressed as Nrsimhadeva – replete with chisel-like nails; Sita dasi (6 years) as elegant Laksmi devi and Ramananda Raya dasa (4 years) as saintly Prahlad.
They are all students of the Sri Mayapur International School, who under the apt guidance and artistic inspiration of Ragatmika Mataji and Shastra dasa form part of a team who act out dramas for different auspicious days. It helps the small children to be angaged, get to know the pastimes really well and to have a lasting memory of the exciting day. A newsreporter from India Times was also very attracted by their innocense and also took pictures for his newspaper.
