Sri Krsna-premamrta by Gopal Bhatta Gosvami
By Sadhusanga.com
Browsing through some old dusty Xerox-copy-books recently, we found a small booklet written by Gopal Bhatta Goswami entitled Sri Krsna-premamrta, a delightful compilation of four Radha-Krsna lilas:
* Stealing the Gopis Clothes
* Carrying the Load
* Crossing the River
* Collecting Taxes
Reading this sweet, fun-natured booklet lasts about 45 minutes, so we’ve also recorded descriptions of the life and pastimes of Gopal Bhatta Gosvami, one of the Six Gosvamis of Vrndavana who established the Radharamana Temple.
In the Gaura-Gandodesha-Dipika, Sri Kavi Karnapura writes:
ananga-manjari sadya gopala bhattakah
bhatta goswaminam kocidahuh shri guna manjari
“In my opinion, that person who in Vrindavana was Ananga Manjari (the younger sister of Srimati Radharani) is now Gopal Bhatta Goswami. Some authorities, however, have given their opinion that he was Guna Manjari.”
