Hare Krishna!
Today at aprx 1:30 pm Nirguna Prabhu departed from this suffering body. Lots of devotees was in the room continiously singing kirtan – maha-mantra only. It’s a great fortune to leave body with such excelent assistance as devotees of Mayapur community provided, leaded by Janmastami Prabhu and his wife Sankalpa Mataji. Ramadevi Mataji spend a LOT of time and energy caring for Nirguna Prabhu, and so many other devotees, I am sure soon their names will be mentioned by either Janmastami or Hari Sauri Prabhus. H. H. Bhakti Vishrambha Madhava Swami was dutifully at Nirguna Prabhu’s side reading Chaitanya Bhagavata and Hari Sauri Prabhu was reading Srila Prabhupada pastimes – every day.
Anyways, Nirguna Krishna Prabhu is joined Srila Prabhupada and Lord Chaitanya’s eternal sankirtan pastimes.
We have posted a video clip to Mayapur Darsan forum – of Nirguna Prabhu in his last moments and devotees having kirtan in his room which you can also see below.
You can join Mayapur Darsan conference yourself or send a request to – Mayapur.Darshan@pamho.net
It was an uplifting and educating expirience to see him go – it remined us all that we need to get even more serious about our spiritual life and do need to get detached to this material body, which is only a temporary carier of the soul.

Sri Nirguna Prabhu ki Jaya!
My dear friend, just two years ago we chanted and danced in kirtan together at the Odessa festival. You were so enlivened by the enthusiasm of the event and the devotees here that you were going to go back to America, sell your house, and return to preach in Ukraine and the CIS. I was very much looking forward to having your association here.
But we didn’t see you as soon as we expected. In fact, unfortunately, we didn’t have the pleasure to see you again. After you sold your house you returned to Atlanta to preach there. You wrote to me that you were “undergoing many changes, and working hard, but increasing preaching”. I think that this was Sri Krishna’s method of freeing you from whatever attachment you might have had to that house so that you would have no encumbrances getting in the way of your coming back to Him.
I always think of you as a happy person, and I took the fact that you were always happy to be a sign of your Krishna consciousness. I remember when you would come to Charlotte with the other sankirtan devotees from Atlanta and we would go out and distribute books together. You were always enthusiastic, and your enthusiasm spread to everyone else. In that way, although you always took a humble position, you were a leader and an inspiration for all of us.
One of my last memories of you will be seeing you diving off of the stage during a maha-kirtan into a sea of devotees and them carrying you around the kirtan floor on their upstretched arms. That was blissful! I imagine you now in that way, soaring, but without the aid of upstretched arms, into the arms of the Lord.
Thank you for you wonderful association. I hope to again have the pleasure of your blissful association, wherever that may be.
Your friend,
Dhanesvara Das

Hare Krishna. Please Accept My Most Humble Obeisances. All Glories To Srila Prabhupada
I’m happy that Nirguna prabhu is finally free from his diseased body but am very sad that I won’t be able to preach with him and have his association until I make it back to the spiritual world which will probably be a long time.
It all happened so fast. I was going to help him preach in Atlanta by distributing books and advertising programs earlier this year when I heard of his condition. When I heard that at one point he was improving I was very happy. When I heard he had terminal cancer I couldn’t believe it. Krishna has a plan for everyone but I sincerely prayed to Krishna to keep Nirguna prabhu with us for much longer but he obviously had a differen’t idea.
I’ve been distributing books with Nirguna prabhu off and on for the last 15 years and I have to admit that I can’t think of any book distributor that I had more fun with and that has helped me more than Nirguna prabhu. He was alway’s fun, Krishna conscious and inspiring. He was alway’s well mannered and I couldn’t find any fault in him. He will be so missed by a lot of devotees. Before Nirguna prabhus condition worsened I spoke with him on the phone. He told me to become more serious about spiritual life especially by serving Lord Caitanya by distributing books and preaching. I’m going to take that to heart. The very last words he said to me were,”I Love You” I really feel that loving exchanges between devotees are essential for developing love of Krishna. I feel truly blessed to have had Nirguna Prabhu’s association and I hope to one day return to the spiritual world and have his association once again.
Before I go I would like to share a nice Sankirtana story with Nirguna prabhu.
In 1994 Nirguna prabhu and I travelled around the southeast of the United States distributing books for a couple of months for the December Prabhupada book distribution marathon. We took Nirguna’s van, loaded it full of books and took off. After Sankirtana we would stay in Motels. 75% of Motels in America are owned by People of Hindu descent so they are usually very favorable to devotees and many times let us stay free of charge or at discount rates. We stayed at one motel but the owner was very mean. We also had problems getting our gas cooker to work, so we decided to do some laundry and use our electric cooker. We found a laundromat and got the laundry going while I cooked up some Kitchri outside on the sidewalk where I found an electric outlet. We chanted our rounds, in the freezing cold, then got ready for sankirtana. Since we had so many obstacles that day we weren’t able to get out on Sankirtana till around 2:30 pm. We thought we were going to have a bad day. Plus as soon as we started sankirtana it started raining and snowing at the same time. It was freezing. We headed out in the Wal Mart parking lot in London, Kentucky that day with rubber boots, umbrella’s and shopping carts full of books. Everyone seemed to take books. We went up to people at their cars and showed them The Hard cover Bhagavad Gita and they just ate it up. I still remember seeing Nirguna running around blissfully distributing books. We were laughing like madmen. It was so ecstatic. I distributed 28 Gita’s and a load of small books and Nirguna Prabhu did double that. I remember many days like that. Nirguna prabhu alway’s seemed so ecstatic. He was truly a great sankirtan warrior and I know for sure he is with Lord Caitanya right now. I have no doubt about it. Your servant, Devaki Nandana Dasa
