How wonderful! Gaura Haribol. Gokulendra and I were the first Krishna conscious bhaktas to visit Botswana in about 1974. We were travelling from South Africa to Zambia. The border was closed between Rhodesia and Zambia, so we had to go through the northern dirt road in Botswana to a primitive ferry crossing, one vehicle at a time, across the Zambezi River. Along the way, we had to avoid a large herd of Wildebeasts that were headed to the river for their afternoon drink of water or bath, and an unbelievably majestic male African elephant, huge, with large ears and long white tusks, eating from a high tree. There were rumors that terrorists had killed someone a week before on that road. Krishna protected us from that fate.
It is so glorious that Lord Chaitanya's Movement is established now in Botswana. The generous hearts of the devotees are amazing, truly. Dandavats at your divine lotus feet. Pusta Krishna das
