Yesterday the GBC meetings started. The Organizational Development made various presentations to the GBC Body of items for streamlining the functions of the Body, and making the Body’s activities more effective for spreading Srila Prabhupada’s movement. Many leading devotees from around the globe were there.

In the evening there was a meeting for those presenting seminars at the ILS – the ISKCON Leaders Sanga. Laksmimoni devi dasi, one of the main organizers, speaks.

The ILS – ISKCON Leadership Sanga – has started today. Several hundred devotees from all over the world have to come to Mayapur to take part in seminars and courses aimed at deepening their Krishna consciousness and developing their skills in leadership in Srila Prabhupada’s movement.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always taught that we shouldn't turn our backs to the Spiritual Master. It seems that the main speakers at this meeting have their backs turned to Srila Prabhupada's murti (3rd and 4th photos). Can anyone clarify? Thanks.
