Srila Prabhupada: Because people are suffering for want of this knowledge, therefore our Krsna consciousness movement is the only movement – I can declare very proudly -which can actually do some benefit to the human society. It is the only movement. All other, bogus movements, I declare. Let them come and study the sastras and decide for themselves. They’re all cheating. Srila Prabhupada’s lecture on Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.5.30 – Vrndavana, August 11, 1974

Gargamuni Swami and I (at that time Bhakta Paul) went to Sylhet, East Pakistan in February, 1971. It is very wonderful to see more bhaktas going there with the passing years. It was very dangerous in 1971 when there was a revolution going on wherein the Bengalis were trying to break away from exploitation by the West Pakistanis, just before actual war broke out. There are some instances of extreme courage among some of the bhaktas in the formative years of the worldwide Sankirtan Movement, some gave their lives, some went to prisons. Let memories of such courage and dedication not die, and it still goes on today.
All Glories to Sri Sri Guru Gauranga!! Pusta Krishna das
