Nabhinandan Das: Hare Krishna. Saturday 17 March: We were visiting the glorious ISKCON Ahmedabad temple today and it so happened that 120 year 4 children from a local school (Anand Niketan school) also visited the temple, with their teachers at the same time. As we do school presentations in the UK, we thought to also share this London experience of Krishna Consciousness with the children!
The philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita was explained, that there is one God, Who is known by many different names such as Christ, Allah, Krishna and Who also has unlimited forms such as Govinda and Ramachandra. Some of Lord Krishna’s transcendental pastimes were shared with children, who listened with rapt attention and that was followed by the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. The children were very enthusiastic and participated so nicely.
120 Srila Prabhupad’s transcendental books (such as Beyond Birth & Death, Intro to Gita, Krishna Reservoir of Pleasure in both English and Gujarati) were distributed to the children. This was an amazingly happy experience to share with the children, teachers and devotees.
