Book distribution and prasadam distribution have been going on steadily by the devotees on the Helsinki temple. We have also done more Harinama, which brings very auspicious atmospehere. We have also participated to different festival. In the end of May we were in World Village-etno festival in Kaisaniemi park, in Helsinki centre.
Festival gathers some 90 000 visitors, and we distributed nice quantities of prasadam and did Harinama. A month later in the same place there is annual heavy metal festival called “Tuska(pain) – Open Air” unofficially we participated there by Harinama and book distribution. These men in black and gothic-style dressed ladies with their occult tattoos were surprisingly receptive to our books.
In the beginning of July we were invited to “Kihaus” folk-music festival in east Finland. We had prasadam tent, and did Harinama for the whole weekend. We accomodated in a summer cottage of one devotee living on that area, there was opportunity to recharge our batteries in countryside and do morning sadhana on a shore of a distant beatiful lake. Then in Helsinki there was nice open-air Sunday feast in the castle of Finland with H. H. Bhaktivaibhava Swami.
On a beginning of August we again distribute prasadam to another etno-festival called “Faces”. Here are some pictures from our journeys, more will be updated to our temple´s homepage www. harekrishna. fi somewhere during August. We beg for the blessings of the Vaisnavas that we can continue our humble efforts here in the service of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada. We also take our opportunity to mention, that we are in a need of a new van, all financial help is greatly appreciated.
