On Friday, August 10, 2018, a beloved congregational member at ISKCON Philadelphia passed away after a long battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at the temple on Monday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Jahnava was a very kind and enthusiastic devotee who worked very hard to help rekindle our annual Rathayatra festival with thousands of guests attending yearly. Her dedication to preaching Krsna consciousness to literally everyone she met was inspirational for all of us. Jahnava devi dasi was a kind and caring person who will be very missed in our community.
By Lord Krsna’s Grace, Jahnava passed away while hearing our beloved Srila Prabhupada chanting the Hare Krsna maha-mantra. We pray for her to be eternally situated at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krsna.
