The devotees who are with HH Jayapataka Swami, including doctors from BHAKTIVEDANTA HOSPITAL, notice that he is hearing very nicely. Sometimes he opens his eyes for a while. This morning for 20 minutes. Some devotees from Mayapura brought their Deities of Lord Jaganatha. They were sure that he recognized THEM. Last night HH Bhakti Caru Swami spoke to him over the speaker phone. His servant saw him open his eyes and was sure that he recognized the voice.
Any get well letters will be read to him. These things encourage everyone and are very much appreciated. He responds much more to the devotees than to the doctors. That is normal.
A few days ago he held my hand and pulled it over to his heart. On hearing us he squeezed hard. Now, for fear of infection, the don’t want us to touch his skin. Somehow they shave his head and he looks nice. Thank you very much..
