The temple of the Vedic Planetarium is currently seeking two qualified 3d generalists (artists) and one screenwriter for the West Wing Exhibit’s Creative Department, based in Mayapur, West Bengal. TOVPE 3D Generalist
TOVPE 3D Generalists are responsible for creating photo-real characters, vehicles, environment scenes, and landscapes that integrate seamlessly with plate photography or any medium needed. Successful candidates display a high proficiency in some and a varied skill level across the areas of modeling, texturing, shading, look development, organic and hard surface modeling, animation and the ability to composite their own work. Candidates that demonstrate themselves to be exceptional in only one area will still be considered as long as they have some experience in all other areas and are willing to learn.
TOVPE 3D Generalists will work both individually and within a larger team environment, with tasks ranging from completing everything on a small number of shots to working on specific tasks within a larger body of work.
Senior TOVPE 3D Generalists will also demonstrate the ability to break down complex VFX shot work into achievable workflows using a variety of off-the-shelf plug-ins and scripts. As such, a strong technical background is necessary.
Education / Experience
Degree and/or 5 years of relevant experience in a VFX environment either in commercials, videogames, TV or feature film.
Required Skills / Duties + Responsibilities
Proven artistic ability across multiple CG disciplines including modeling, texturing, lighting, shading / look development, or compositing.
Strong communicator that requires minimal guidance in the execution of VFX Tasks.
Lead creation of outstanding artwork within a shot, using various software programs.
Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work
May train, mentor or supervise the work of entry, mid and mid-high-level generalist artists at the discretion of the Department Supervisor.
Attend weekly meetings and participate in creative problem solving
Technical Skills
Fluent in Photoshop
Fluent in Cinema 4D, 3dsmax, or Maya
Fluent in Redshift, or Octane render solutions
Fluent in Zbrush
Knowledge of Substance Painter, Designer, and Alchemist a plus
Knowledge of scripting a plus

TOVPE Screen Writer
TOVPE Screen Writers are responsible for the creation of original movie screen plays for use in the 23-meter dome theater housed inside the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium. TOVPE Screen Writers are also responsible for narrative content for exhibits within the Planetarium, which include scripts, dialogue and ancillary thematic content for advertising.
Education / Experience
BA or comparable degree.
At least three professional writing credits. This may include a purchased screenplay, or published book or article.
4+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience writing screenplays or teleplays.
You should be able to write and think cinematically.
Required Skills / Duties + Responsibilities
Develop and research ideas for original movie screenplays, and exhibits.
Create an initial framework, or treatment, for screenplays.
Write or adapt a story into a script.
Meet with creative team to pitch screenplays and ideas.
Weave together visual elements in scenes with plot and dialogue.
Work with creative staff to edit and adjust the script as needed.
Technical Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Final Draft, Scrivener, or comparable writing software platform.
Pluses:
BA or higher degree in humanities, film, journalism, or creative writing.
Knowledge about, and experience in, screenwriting for movies, and museum exhibits
Experience as an educator, leader, or manager. Anything that evinces strong interpersonal skills.
Experience working with artists from other disciplines.
Proficiency in Adobe Editing Suite is a major plus.
