By Kaisori Devi Dasi
The BBT is planning a book of photography that showcases the work of ISKCON devotees worldwide who are or have been serious about expressing themselves through a photographic medium, serious about expressing Krsna conscious concepts through a photographic medium, or serious about expressing their coming to terms with the philosophy and practice of Krsna consciousness, whatever that means to them, through photography.
Please don’t be shy. Send us your work.
Target audience; any seeker, or anyone ready to be inspired to inquire into the purpose of life, spirituality, truth.
The book will be similar in size and binding to “The Hidden Glory of India,” published by the BBT. Because the book will be just under 200 pages, we will naturally have to be quite selective about what we include.
We are looking for expressive, meditative, or intriguing photos taken by talented photographers that explicitly or implicitly depict the theme(s) above and bring out aesthetic or intellectual elements both of Krsna consciousness itself and of the photographer’s own spirituality and quest for self-realization.
Each photographer will be given dedicated space. Accompanying text will be created by the BBT, possibly in collaboration with the artist.
Photos must be the original work of the photographer submitting the work, and will be accepted between January 11, 2010 and April 30,
2010.
Submissions information for the SELECTION process:

For questions on the submissions process, please contact kaisori@pamho.net.
If your photograph is selected for publication, to qualify for its inclusion in the book, you will be required to sign a license for reproduction in this book (no geographic or temporal restrictions). The license will give the BBT permission to publish your work in this title in any language edition.
The BBT will supply this documentation to the photographers for signing after the selection process. If you would like to see the text of the standard license, please write to kaisori@pamho.net.
If there are recognizable people in the photo, the photographer will be responsible to obtain signed releases from each person appearing authorizing publication. Forms for these releases will be supplied by the BBT.
The BBT is unable to pay royalties or pay for licenses. This is a preaching opportunity and a forum for publicizing your work.
We hope to hear from you.
Your servants, Brahma Muhurta Das Kaisori Devi Dasi
