Kala das ACBSP: PAMHO AGTSP
Hari Bol
These are must see videos of the fantastic Holi festival which was organized by Caru Prabhu and his good wife this past weekend. I was there and it was amazing everyone(one estimate was 30,000 students) was chanting on and on for hours. What you don’t see is that inside the temple there was a second kirtan going on with another 200 students chanting and dancing for hours. I believe Caru and his good wife have earned entry to the spiritual world simply because of this one day’s festival. Thing is HG Caru Prabhu and HG Vaibhavi Mataji somehow put on several festivals a year but he has fewer full time devotees than almost any center in America. I take the dust from their feet. All glories to their amazing service to Srila Prabhupad. Oh, by the way if anyone is looking for a place to preach….. 3-10 groups of nice people come to ask questions and tour the temple every day. I was there and am a better devotee because of the inspiring Krishna Conscious experience.

These images are simply amazing. Virtually all of the thousands of people who were there, chanting Hare Krishna and taking prasadam, went away with good impressions and feelings about “Hare Krishna”, which they will pass on to others when the subject of Hare Krishna comes up.
The first video nicely demonstrates the exponential impact of such festivals. They get reported favorably in news media. Not only those who were there, but those who saw the TV report got positive impressions of Hare Krishna.
I liked the top two videos because of Caru’s comments. It was very effective that he chose “variety” as the theme of his presentation. This kind of deep, concentrated “seed” of an idea is often used by lawyers in presenting cases at trial. In this case, the theme of variety can easily be recognized by devotees as a refutation of mayavadi philosophy.
I especially liked his comment in the second video that problems in human society arise because everyone expects people to be carbon copies of themselves, but we should enjoy that God loves variety and we should love it too.
It was nice to hear from Kala that there was another kirtan going on inside the temple too. I would definitely love to visit this festival someday. I think I would be more comfortable inside the temple though, when the dye starts to fly. :-)
