SARANAGATI VILLAGE in Canada
Five Questions all ISKCON communities need to ask themselves:
1. What efforts has your community made in the last two years to come closer to realizing self-sufficiency and sustainability?
2. What are your thoughts on Covid-19 and the lessons we can learn from its impact on individuals and nations?
3. How can you best describe the contribution that Vedic Sociology can give to the world in this twenty-first century?
4. What are your practical suggestions to individuals, communities, both in villages and cities, that will help them tackle the complexities of our modern era?
5. How can we best address and combat the global problems of climate change, desertification, loss of natural habitat, loss of biodiversity and extinction of species?
Bala Krsna das replies to the above questions

Thank you Bala Krsna prabhu.
A devotee who is also awake to the globalist (aka cabal) agenda with the most practical Krsna conscious solutions.
Hare Krishna!!!
Hare Krishna.
After viewing the video i was surprised that Solar panels and H.E.P are being used to supply Electricity. Solar Panels and generators at best have only 30 years lifespan, so i beg to disagree with this system as either Self-sufficient or Sustainable. At best it is Alternative and marginally Ecological. Without having to renew and buy this industrialized type energy every 30 years or so, it looks as though the concept needs some radical rethink.
Firstly i would seriously question the consumerism of Electricity. Trying hard not to just fit the supply of energy around modern lifestyles. Maybe an audit of how to adapt a lifestyle where other realistic
Sustainable and Self-sufficient energies can be used.
In Wales there are other Communities that are totally off grid, without Gas, Electricity, Mobile Phones, power tools etc.
“So you have to become an ideal society. You live locally, and be self-sufficient. They will see that it is possible to live locally without movement, and still highly cultured men, self-sufficient. That is required.” May 28th walk, Rome 1974. Srila Prabhupada.
Srila Prabhupada letter. Vrindavana November 28 1976;
"The whole idea is that we are Iskcon, a community to be independent from outside help."
Prabhupada: This is the next aspect of Krishna consciousness which I wish to push forward. If I am able to travel again then I shall visit the farms and make them perfect. On these farms we can demonstrate the full varnasrama system. If these farms become successful, then the whole world will be enveloped by Krishna consciousness.
Excerpted from Morning Walk. 27-28th May. 1974. Rome.
Isn't this is the idea of Self-sufficiency and Sustainability that we are perfectly Independent from outside help otherwise we have demonstrated what exactly that is unique?
