Deena Bandhu Das: Very sad news that a most dear Godbrother, Edhaniyasvabhava Das, passed on from Covid today! He joined Portland Temple when I was temple president in 1974. He was a very excellent artist. Later he joined the Radha Damodar Party and served in Spain for a while. He was living near the temple in Noida last few years and departed from there. Such a wonderful, sweet natured devotee, we pray that Srila Prabhupada will take him to the lotus feet of his dearmost Lord!
Edhani was a very sweet and sincere devotee. When his godsister Rasajna was in her final weeks he came a number of times to chant for her and he was beautifully chanting as she departed in December 2009.
I was misinformed. Edhani Prabhu left from a heart attack not covid. He was found in his room by the devotees.
I remember Edhaniyasvabhava from Radha Damodar. He was gentle, kind, in the mode of goodness, not like most of us on the Radha Damodar Party. He served for a while as the pujari in Houston after the Radha Damodar Party was given the responsibility of the Houston temple. He was also funny and made us laugh in his gentle and kind way. He will be missed. Hare Krishna.
II may remember this Vaisnava from the 70's. This verse comes to mind as I think of this devotee: " The Supreme Lord is situated in everyone's heart, Oh Arjuna, and is directing the wanderings of all living entities, who are seated as on a machine made by the material energy. May this soul's path lead to Krsna by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada.
