Topanga Canyon is on fire and the home of Nrsimhananda (currently chairman of the SABHA and co-chair of the NA Devotee Care committee) and his wife Nitya Manjari is in the mandatory evacuation zone. His home, the Pyramid House, is less than one mile from a raging fire. Due to the steep incline of the terrain, it is very difficult to get fire trucks and equipment to the area.
The Pyramid House has been a landmark home and Temple in ISKCON for several decades. The Deities have been continually worshiped there and thousands of devotees have visited.
Nrsimhananda and his family were returning from out of state when the fire broke out. They are still a good distance away by car.
The future of the Pyramid House is entirely in the hands of Lord Krishna. Please join me in earnestly praying for the safety of the Deities and the Temple.

Let’s see if the house is standing in the next eight hours. I’m not even on my way to California. I won’t be driving down from Oregon for a few days. I hope that I don’t have to. 😩

Thank all the Vaisnavas for your prayers. The evacuation order was finally lifted. The fire stayed about 5000 ft away by the grace of Krishna, Prabhupada, and all the compassionate devotees. Jaya Gauranga!
